I’ve heard from many of you who have built your own $400 Windows Home Server. As with most technology, prices fall over time. What was a parts list totaling $409 is now $30 lower. The cost to built a complete Windows Home Server is now only $379! And not only that, but the processor that I originally recommended, the Intel Celeron 420, has been discontinued. So I’ve replaced it with a more powerful, yet cheaper Intel Celeron 430.
If you’ve been holding out then now is the time. With a Windows Home Server for only $379 and Power Pack 1 almost out the door, there has never been a better time to built your own and save BIG.

shame I cant do this in the UK for the equivalent of $379 ... i think it worked out at nearly £400 (or $800)
The problem is that shipping isn't free for all these components.
Actually, shipping isn't that bad, maybe $20 something total from Newegg.
I'd really like to see a low power configuration that has 4 sata connectors to match the 4 drives available on the HP WHS. I really like the expandability
If I insert an addonics 4 port esata card int he PCI slot can i have the option keep expanding this through port multipliers to like 20TB??
