MSE works fine with Windows 7, however WHS does NOT acknowledge the presence or update status of MSE on a Windows 7 box, so it continues to b*tch at you that you don't have AV installed/updated on your workstation. I have 3 Win7 x64 machines, all with MSE installed, and WHS doesn't see it on ANY of them.

There is clearly something wrong with the interface between the two programs. MSE insists everything is fine (green icon,) WHS insists that my AV is out-of-date (red WHS icon.)

Tim, you are getting that message because at that specific time, Windows is updating the signatures for MSE (which are downloaded as part of Windows Update). Thus, MSE loads updated signature when you reboot/start up. MSE works fine with Windows 7.

Typically Microsoft in that their products don't talk to each other than well.

I really should have been a little more clear. If you install this on one of your pc's (not your WHS) you constantly got a warning that the antivirus was either not installed or out of date. Which wasn't the case. This can really get annoying if you have remote notification installed as it will send a email each time that pops up.

I am not sure that you can install this on WHS. The system requirements just mention XP, Vista ,Windows 7, and XP mode in Windows 7.
